When shopping for sets, it might be hard to know what size you need. If you ask your physician or pelvic floor physical therapist, they should be able to tell you what size you need to start, some people do not need the entire set and some people do.

When it comes to our product sets, there are seven to choose from. We have one of the smallest and one of the largest products on the market, made right in the USA.

The smallest, the Size 1, is comparable to a pencil and the Size 2 is comparable to a women's pinky finger. If you can get a larger tampon applicator in with ease, you may want to start with a Size 3 or 4 if your muscles are very tight to promote relaxation during your sexual wellness routine. 

If you are sexually active, you might not need the smaller products and starting with the Size 4 or 5 and moving up would be best for your home wellness plan. You can also purchase the size that is comparable in circumference to your partner if you are sexually active.

As your sexual wellness routine can start out being uncomfortable, you do not want to be in extreme pain when you using VuVa. If you are, then you need to move down one size. On a pain scale of 1-10, you do not want to go over a 3-4 pain level during your sexual wellness routine. When you first put it in, it can be very painful, but that pain should subside after a few minutes. You don't want to be in extreme pain the entire time during your home routine. 

How Do I Know What Size Rectal Dilator or Anal Dilator I Need?

If you can comfortably insert a larger suppository or similar-sized object without discomfort, you may prefer to start with a Size 3 or 4 if your muscles feel especially tight and your goal is gradual relaxation as part of your wellness routine.

If you already have experience with anal insertion and are comfortable with larger sizes, you may not need the smallest products. In many cases, starting with a Size 4 or 5 and gradually progressing upward may be more appropriate for your personal home wellness plan. Some people also choose a size that is comparable in circumference to their intended goal.

As you begin your routine, some discomfort can be normal, but you should not experience extreme pain. If you do, move down to the next smaller size. On a discomfort scale of 1–10, try to stay around a 3 or 4 at most. You may feel more discomfort during the initial insertion, but it should gradually lessen after a few minutes as your muscles relax. You should not remain in severe discomfort throughout your session.
